Well after being away for about 2 1/2 months, I finally got to check out my tank tonight. OMG my wife is a good lil' reefkeeper!!!

The growth in the time I've been gone is pretty insane. For those of you who were at my meet a week before I left, it'll be interesting to see if you remember how stuff was to see if you can tell any differences.

The only big loss (that I saw in the few minutes that I flipped the lights on) is that the flowerpot I got from CustomColor was pretty well covered by substrate. I pulled it to the top so we'll see how that does...

I'll shoot some pics tomorrow and get them posted.

Its amazing on how things will grow and look so diff after awhile! Give the misss a smack on the bottom if you havent already for holding it down!!!!!!!

School is good - it's keeping me really busy, but for the most part it's been pretty fun too. I'm looking forward to July because all month we're in the studio working on a mock TV show. We take 3 different jobs over the course of the month and act as assistants to guys that actually do _______ professionally. Plus classes are only Tues-Fri, 8am-4pm with no homework or weekend shoots. The first two months were pretty intense, so this month will almost be like a vacation. (schoocation?)

Saw squids tank tonight. For the most part it looked really good. The only issues I saw is where stuff was starting to grow together and he was getting some die back from the touching. A problem, but not a bad one to end up with.

thanks for the goods Mike...

I saw Mike's tank last night and I think it looked incredible. Your tank is what I plan on striving for mine to look like!!! Whatever you have going on its definately a good thing. Thanks for everything Mike.

I feel bad that I never got pics posted. Bill is the only one that saw the same thing I saw when I first got home. After that i moved stuff around and thinned some things out.

Now tomorrow I've gotta re-epoxy everything. Hopefully with enough space so that things stay clear of each other this time. I'll have to try to remember to snap some pics afterwards so I can get a good "before" for the next time I'll see my tank. (which will be CHRISTMAS!)

As for "whatever I've got going", I'd have to say it's the consistency of doing nothing. LOL! I'm REALLY glad that I picked up that calcium reactor. Otherwise for the last 2 1/2 months, the only thing that's been happening with it is a spoon of an alk buffer into the ATO tank with each filling, the occasional vitamin C when a fish looks dinged, a small dry auto-feed 2x/day and my wife occasionally dropping some frozen food in.

My SPS's saw some awesome growth over the last 2 months. Some of my LPS nearly doubled in size (mainly a torch and a frogspawn) and my side walls were solid coralline in some areas.

By the time I leave Sat morning I'll have done three 25g water changes, changed the carbon twice, cleaned up the skimmer, installed the Osmolator, cleaned my pumps and...and... that's it.

Oh - Bill... fortunately that gunk building in the substrate at the glass was just that - gunk. I ordered a new sleeper banded goby and a sand sifting star - hopefully they'll help.
