I found a few asterina starfish what should I do about it

I have not added any corals in over 2 weeks, tank is about 3 months old, I did my water change today and stirred up the sand I left for about a hour and came back and saw an asterina starfish on my glass other than my name not really familiar with the species what should I do about it?

I don’t mind them. I’ve got em in my tanks and they don’t bother anything. They are good algae grazers. They can get out of control in certain scenarios but you can just get a fish to keep them in check

Statistically speaking, enjoy them Most species in the hobby will leave your coral alone.

They are a nuisance and chuck it before each breaks a leg and produces more. They will take down zoa and multiply like mice.
I had one eat almost an entire BamBam zoa colony

I remove by hand bnut yes harlequins will flip them and eat them

Yeah harlequin shrimp I think are the most common proven things to work. I’ve got a blue head wrasse that eats them but I don’t think that’s normal for them

I have seen them on zoas but personally I don’t think they eat zoas. I think they eat dead tissue and anytime they eat zoas it’s because they are dying from something else. Just my experience though. I had some that appeared to be eating a Zoa colony and it ended up being that I had Zoa spiders. Which was interesting because I didn’t have a problem with them eating any other zoas, just the colony effected by the spiders
