My tank is about a month old and I found this on top of my sandbed as i was doing maintence. What is it?

Sorry about the bad photo, i took these quickly before i took it out and put it into a bag. I didn't know what it was.

Yep that's a micro brittle starfish. They're good guys.

If it's an inch or smaller, yes. Put it back in.
