I got a nem!!! But pep shrimp existed

So I got a, what I think is a really cool nem yesterday for my tank, a few hours after i put it into the tank, I wanted to feed it to make sure it’s healthy or whatever, well as I was feeding it the pep shrimp swooped in like vultures and obviously wanted the food and they were yanking on his tentacles, but I stopped them by scaring them away with my hand, and for an hour they stopped, I left them because the food was gone so I figured they wouldn’t attack, before I went to bed I noticed everyone of his tentacles were half length, I just assumed he retracted because of stress, I woke up this morning and he had 3 tiny tentacles attached to him, he isn’t dead because he’s in the process of moving to somewhere he “likes” I put those two pep shrimp in my QT, I’m sorry I can’t take a picture because he moved to probably the worst possible spot for me to see him, I just had no idea that they were strong enough to just pluck his legs and arms off lol, has anyone else had this happen to them?

I've read you shouldn't feed them for the first week. Let them rest and get used to the new tank first. You could also put a cut 20oz bottle over him and feed him that way.

Yeah but the problem is that the pep shrimp want to eat the nem

Peppermint shrimp are the worst tank inhabitants that are sold imo, Kill them swiftly and feed to something

My nem has no problems with the 2 peppermint shrimp I have

Yeah but I can at least sell them for some money
