I have been fighting this for over 3 months now. I have picked it out starved of light for 4 days. And now I have tried mag, at 1700 and it still keeps growing. I don't know what will get rid of this.

Raising mag should of killed it, are you 100% sure it's byropsis. If your not sure take a pic and I'll be happy to I. D it. Also it's not gonna disappear I a blink of a eye, takes about 2 weeks. I dealt with this stuff. You kill it, don't give up.

From what I read the kent tech m is the only one that will kill it. I had some and it was gone in a few weeks using the kent, raised mine to 1600 and kept it up for several weeks. Still running mine around 1500.

My mag has been at 1700 going on three weeks. Nitrates at 10 and phosphates at 0 cal at 450 alk is at 9

Kent is a bit less pure, and the combo of hi Mg and the other impurities found in this brand seems to do the trick. Other brands do not work. Kent Tech M is the tried and true method.

I agree, Kent Tech M is the known cure for bryopsis. The elements in Tech M is what kills the algae. Start using Tech M and keep it 1600 or above and the bryopsis will start dying off in no time.

Kent tech m is the only mg supplement that works. It's not the magnesium itself but a "secret" ingredient in the tech m that gets rid of the bryopsis. I've known several people who have had great success using it.

I just finished doing this. I bought a gallon of tech m online and dosed it by raising 200ppm per day until the Mag got to 2000ppm. I kept it at 2000pm for a few weeks and only lost a couple snails and serpent stars (don't own shrimp so can't say what would happen). My coral, fish, hermits, and anemones were fine. No more bryopsis.

I put 1 mL of ro/di water with 1mL of tank water when testing my mag level with my salifert kit. I then doubled my results to get the higher mag reading since salifert kit only goes to 1500 or so.

Usually the case... Spot treatment with a syringe helps also. Just make sure bit to over do it. I'd do one section, then wait a few days and move on to a different area.

My adult Zebrasoma eat it. As thin as it is in your pics, assume you just harvested, they would have it gone in a couple of hours.

What kind of zebrasoma or do you multiple species?

Yes Multiple, Yellow Tang, Purple tang, Sailfin, My Angels pull it up but dont eat and my Kole and rabbit fish will also eat it after it has been messed with. It seems to bother their mouth but the more its been picked at the better they like it. Tangs wont clear it out, but adult tangs do help get it gone and they do a good job of keeping it gone in my main tank.
