Frag plugs look like doodoo in the reef aquarium. Has anyone had high success removing corals from plugs? Also, im guessing the only way to adhere some corals to rock would be with a string. I do NOT want to remove rockwork from the water. This can get really complicated with certain corals. Is their anyone who does this?

If I my suggest, request that the Frags are not on a plug by having who you buy from cut a fresh frag. I have requested this in the past.

Most of my frags are frag tiles glued to a plug. I take a Dremel took and cut the piece of tile off the plug and glue it wherever. Or you can cut the stem of the plug off with bone cutters and glue the disc down. It covers in coral in fast or if it’s coral like zoa they grow over it so fast it’s invisible quickly.

For the soft corals you may be able to attach them to a small piece of rubble with a string and then attach that to your rock. It may not be the perfect solution but probably closer to the look you want than having the plug in the tank
