This might be my worst experience yet.

The bottom of the glue tube had a puncture, so squeezing the tube got glue on my hand.

I sucked it up and continued gluing, with each squeeze resulting in more glue in my palm.

I poured 100% acetone and then tried scraping it with a knife.

It is 8pm, and my brain must not be working optimally.

Here’s the result of my madness:

I’m a dunce.

Whether it’s week, month, or a year, like 80 percent of my glued frags always have to be redone. No more glue for me.

FYI i feel your pain, got some on my lips and teeth the other day because i put the cap in my mouth when i glued something thinking it was clean

What’s your solution to avoid super glue? I can’t stand it anymore.

Seems smart. It’s not the first time the glue got a puncture.

You can see the colossal numbskull in his natural habitat.

I expected to see your hands/fingers all glued together!

You can soak your hands in acetone fingernail polish remover or (given the cuts) in vegetable oil... Or use Goo-gone.

Believe it or not... salt is one of the things used to remove it. Working in my tank usually loosens it up and its pretty easy to pick off.

Try taking a bunch of salt and water and make a paste and rub it all over your hands... keep rubbing, repeat as necessary. Or just stick your hands in the tank the next hour or two.

Also, I have had this happen... I don't continue glueing though... I grab some tape and tissue/gauze ball and wrap it a few times around the spot lol then continue.

Is that why my frags keep falling? lol

But seriously, the salt might work, but I got like 4 cuts from trying to remove the glue with the knife. I am not willing to burn myself …acetone and cuts hurt baaaad.

I was not thinking straight and I was impatient.

Next time I will be more careful lol.

A good thing to try is if you have a bast-ard (forum censored it without -) file or any file, more aggressive the better, it will remove the super glue without causing any damage to your skin.
