I hate it too.
Haha just kidding, it's not terrible. You could tweak it a little by adding a few more open spaces (caves) for fish to hide in etc as it does seem a bit tight. The back end gets a bit closer to the surface which will limit your use of it. If you're ok with that then by all means keep it. Don't get hung up on trends, it only matters that you like it in the end. Also consider the functional needs of the habitat for the animals you intend to keep.

I think you got a lot of good advice so far. +1 on the making sure you consider your livestock needs, future coral needs and what makes you happy.

Watch the videos, look at build thread of similar sized tanks on R2R. you don’t have to use the rock the way you bought it, you may want to break it up into smaller more manageable pieces

Not sure if you all are still following but I redid some things and I like it more, made some room for the side for cleaning. Still not great but it will work for now.
