Is there another critter more annoying? They are taking over my sand bed. What are their predators and any safe way to eliminate them?

Actually, I love the little fella's. Population is self controlled and a awesome sign of nutrients in the tank. What better way to show one if they are over feeding then by the population of the worms. Only time I say ok, maybe enough is enough is when I see a few floating around the water column. Other than that though they really are a nice asset to the natural reef and clean up crew.

Just how I see it. Granted, they are not the Jessica Rabbit of worms but....they are a good indicator. Your mileage may vary of course.

What and how often are you feeding?

Feed a variety of flakes, pellets, frozen food and seaweed. Obviously not all at once. Usually a cube of frozen food, half a sheet of nori or a pinch of flakes or pellets.

CUC is various snails, two urchins and a cleanser shrimp.

Fish:
Kole Tang
Clarkii Clown
Azure Damsel
Lawnmower Blemmy
Royal Gramma
Bangi Cardinal
2x PJ Cardinals
Blue/Green Chromis

They’re ugly but their population usually goes down over time. I had the same problem a while back and I’d scoop out the big ones with a shot glass. They creeped me out! After a few months I’d barely see any and I actually forgot I had them until you reminded me. Thanks for that

I personally like seeing them in my sand bed (not so much in the rock). It means they're taking up my slack in keeping it a little cleaner and aerated. I consider them just another member of my CUC.

Not that I wanted this but my sand sifting starfish has put a real dent in my population. I like the little guys and where once they were everywhere I now only see them very close to the rockwork or an inch above the sand. No doubt hiding from the star My sandbed is like the open ocean and that star is like a great white forcing anything in the sand to stick to the shallows. I think right now they are well managed. Your milage may vary with these stars and be prepared to supplement their diet if your tank is too small.
