So these past few days in ny have been a high of about 20. I keep my rodi system in the garage and I know it gets cold but nothing has ever been frozen. Well...... I went into the garage and my system exploded all over my garage floor it sucks. And now the apex is yelling at me cause I'm out of top off water........ Wal-Mart here I come need some distilled

I feel ya.

I live in Michigan. Have all my life but I am still not fond of winter. My wife stores 2 litre soda bottles in the garage. They usually don't freeze, but if it gets cold enough, and it has. They explode.

The frost king things are great on pipes but I don't know how I would use it on the canisters

caution. distilled water may contain copper.

I feel your pain... dam hot here in NZ at the moment.
28C and about 100% humidity make it seem 40C.
We get highs of about 30C but it is a burn hot unlike what we experienced in California, which was a nice dry heat.
Winter - in Auckland we have lows around 0C... and a couple of frost a year. Cold enough for me!

How lol...Your news will state scorching heat when is 25C ! 28C is nothing lol
Come talk to me when your summer is 36/37C!

get yourself a heater. You dont have to use an aquarium heater. Go to a horse store where they sell horse supplies. Like tractor supply. They sell round heater that are ment to keep pond and horse water thawd. And they float too so it keeps the surface thawd

I feel ya, but i move my ro/di system into the house during the winter months (Dec.-Mar.) and hook it into my washer outlet. Not a big deal. U didn[t say where ur from, but if it's in da great Northeast/west, u knew it was going to happen eventually. Learn and live and smile.;) If ur in Florida, my apologies. lol

You could probably build a cheap and easy Styrofoam box to put around it and then a cheap heater source like the already mentioned light bulb in the box. Just make sure the hot light bulb doesn't touch the Styrofoam.

It's my fault I'm in New York so I know the weather can get that cold. It's that it never got that cold in the garage where the rodi system is. I guess i learned my lesson.
