What are the dimensions of your tank? Do you have a picture of it?

For a reduction in cost, I might suggest 2 xr30s gen4 pro and two RMS brackets. If that is how you are planning on hanging them. For a while we only had two xr30s above our 100g we got good spread from them but the corners were about 90 par.

If you went with 4 XR15s you'd have a little more flexibility to move them if you had dead spots.

Two XR30s would be more than enough. How are you planning on mounting it to the tank? Are you thinking Gen4 or Gen5 lights? If you were trying to save then I'd go for some Gen4s which have been above SPS dominant tanks for a good while now, but if you want the latest and greatest Gen5 seems to have all the bugs worked out now. I do still recommend the pro version of the light, for SPS you'll want more light spectrums that the pro offers.

I'm running 2 XR15 G5 Pro's mounted in a Aquatic Life 4 bulb T5 hybrid on the same size tank. It's a mixed reef sticks on top, LPS low in the tank. The G5's replaced 2 XR30 G2's.

Do you have a shot of the tank? I'm curious on the spread... I've heard mixed reviews. I do know it depends on how high they are sitting above the tank.

I would say over time neither setup will be sufficient to grow SPS once they start to get large.

I run 2 Xr15's above my 75g. I've kept a few SPS but nothing high end / serious. Mainly LPS and Montis. Min lights are around 9" above the tank.
