So I started a nano reef for my first tank. I have a 3 year old tank cichlid tank so in not new the the aquarium hobby but I am new to reefs. My tank has been up for 2 month and it's running really good coral is doing great water quality is great bla bla bla. So I have a few critters in the tank a blood red shrimp 2 tiny hermits 2 turbo snails and 2 emerald crabs also 2 fish in a qt tank. Now here is my issue the emerald crabs every so often they poke at my duncan so I put some of my chaeto in the tank from my hob ref. This made them stop but they do pick at it from time to time. I am wondering if I should get rid of the 2 crabs and maybe try a pordcelain and pompom instead? Here is a picture of the duncan it looks really unaffected should I be worried? I do enjoy hand feeding the 2 emeralds they are pretty funny and entertaining.

I have had some pick at corals too and I just let them do their thing. If they are seriously going at it and causing significant damage they would find their way out of my tank.

Your tank isnt very dirty. I bet they are bored.
And get a porcelain too. Just cuz.
Mine is 3 years old. His name is Al

He is an anemone crab so he might try to host. Or wear your mushrooms like a hat as he walked around like mine did.:D

I don't have any mushrooms yet I only have a green star, pulser, and a duncan

Just watch them. If they are not hungry you will be fine but if you forget to feed them enough they won't hesitate to munch on coral
