Hi. I'm new to the world of saltwater ownership. I did work in a pet shop about 22 years ago as an assistant manager, quickly moving my way up from caretaker of the many fish tanks she had in the store, both salt and fresh water. I did do all of the testing, cleaning, conditioning, medicating, upkeep and feeding. I've always had freshwater tanks ranging from 5 gallons to 55 gallons. I've always wanted a saltwater aquarium but I've always heard it's very difficult to get one started. I have a basic knowledge of them from my pet shop experience; but, the fear of putting all that work, time and effort into something for months and have it crash scares me to death! I've seen quite a few ads on Craigslist lately where people are selling saltwater tank set ups with fish, live rock, and everything included in the sale. Would this be a better bet for me to go with, something that's already up, running and established? I'm not sure if it's better for me to do that or just start out new. I know these things get extremely expensive when it comes to start up costs, supplies and especially fish! Please let me know what you all think. Thanks for your time in reading and responding! :~)
