I have a...... lobster?

Morning everyone!

I was looking at my tank this morning and I noticed I have a lobster? No idea how he got there but hopefully he isn’t harmful. Hopefully someone can help me out

If that's what it is, they're predatory. Any chance you can capture it and get better pics of it in a plastic container or something? Better to remove it and be safe than to leave it and be sorry

I’ve had the tank for almost 9 months and this is the first time I’ve seen it.... holy crap he’s going to be hard to catch....

What do you have in your tank? if it is a mantis shrimp it might go after stuff

Currently I have 6 turbo snails, 7 hermit crabs, an emerald crab, 2 cleaner shrimp, chocolate chip starfish, an urchin, a snowflake eel (he’s a baby) a royal gramma, and a bubble tip.

Oh I don't think he'll mess with the snowflake eel lol. It'd probably end up the other way around with your eel enjoying a shrimp dinner

your inverts on the other hand may be fair game if its a mantis, waiting for others to chime in to confirm

Thank you guys SO much!!! After looking at a few other pictures I have, it is definitely a “banded pistol shrimp” that’s awesome! You guys are the best!
