Hi yall,

so if it is dead and still in the tank, should I worry about water quality? Should I tear up the aquasape to get him out? or should I let it be and hope the CUC took care of it?

i would do as best a search I could to find the poor little dead body. I wouldn't tear apart the tank if I couldn't find it and let the CUC deal with it. I have had fish go missing and all was ok with the tank (as long as the tank is ok at baseline)

I have looked everywhere I could, wife even tried to find him, I'm just worried cause 2 days before he went missing I added 2 new fish. So now the tank has to handle the extra bioload from new addition and a decomposing body, just don't understand where he went, very frustrated

I lost a black ice clown a couple weeks ago. I have no idea where it went, either. It's mate is still in the tank, now associating with another pair of clowns. If your tank is properly cycled, you should be OK. Of course, you might never know what happened. Such is the joy of this hobby.
