So I have been trying to catch this fish I have...I caught him but slipped up and let him loose grrr...gotta catch him again and have cornored him just wondering if I am able to keep a green net overnight in the tank without hurting anything?

when I have a fish like that I use two nets. It's easier to corner them and keep them from scooting away from you.

Leaving the net in the tank overnight, or unattended, leaves the possibility that the fish gets caught in the net, struggles and stresses.

What kind of fish? You can easily make a fish trap, put some food in it and leave it in the tank for a couple of days and the fish would get used to it and before you know it you can easily catch it.
Here is one I made:

I have a fish trap which i caught it in but accidently opened the door and let it out :( smh so I have to re catch him... Catch is he doesn't eat any food that i know of. He is a golden head sleeper goby and I have only seen him take chunks of nori from the clip but never eat it.

Put it all the way inside the trap if possible so that it has to go inside toward its own reflection. And then place the trap right by where it hangs out.
I personally hate using nets. Fish always have tendency of getting entangled and stuck in it and that can easily cause injury. Traps and/or species containers are the best.

he doesn't seem to want to attack it he will swim right next to or in front of the box but not go inside...grrrrrr i done goofed up badly lol.

Caught him today and put him in a 10 gallon tank until this weekend. My issue is trying to keep him alive because he does not eat frozen food. he does have very little sand will he be able to stay alive until this weekend?
