this one is for all you plumbing experts and diyer's out their in reef land....

I want to take a 20l and make it a RDSB for my 90. the only problem is it won't fit under my stand. how can I plumb it and sit it on a stand next to the tank. it will double as a mini frag tank too.

so start brainstorming and tell me how I can make this work...Plz,plz,plz....My wife is tired of a bunch of totes and tubs sitting all over the place while I redo the tank.

Does your 90 already have a sump? If so just put the 20 Lon a stand next to your 90 and run it off the same sump. You would just need a seperate pump for it then, or tee off of your existing pump if it's big enough.

yes It is a percision marine 30g sump 30x14x16..the fuge will sit taller than the sump on the left of the display that way water will go to the fuge before the skimmer. the return pump is ony rated for 600-700gph so i don't think it is big enough.

Just get a seperate return for the fuge and set up as a seperate tank running in the same sump. You'll be all set.

thanks for the help roshi...but how do I get water to the fuge so it will help the display? if it is setup as a seperate tank dosen't that defeat what I am trying to do? a diagram would be very helpful. if you have time..I am a moron when it comes to plumbing a tank...

If they both overflow into the same sump, then it is the same water in both tanks.
