Tank is milky white, photo makes it look green. Did a water change, came right back, added carbon, didn't do anything, added a clarifier, nothing, added good bacteria, nothing, tried waiting it out, nothing, tank went through its cycle months ago, just one fish in it. Don't over feed, filter has no build up, don't know what to do.

Sounds like you need a UV sterilizer , green machine works in a pinch. Is the tank near window ?

I agree.....UV will clear it up almost overnight if it is bacterial, which it sounds like it is. It will clear up on its own though....just might take a bit.

you can either wait it out. Water change never helped mine. It took about 2 weeks. I've read others recommend a UV to clear it up a lot quicker.

A few things:
  1. I agree with advice that a UV sterilizer will help. Green Machine definitely works well and can be delivered quickly via Amazon. Even if undersized.
  2. Bacterial blooms can tax oxygen - with only one fish, probably not an issue, but it is good to aerate if you can.
  3. I had a bloom last more than a week before subsiding on its own on a smaller 50 gallon AIO.
  4. The second bloom I had in my new tank and had corals in it by then. Bloom impacted PAR significantly. While corals and fish looked fine after a week, I got nervous and I ordered a green machine as a stop gap. It cleared up almost over night.
  5. Whatever you do, don’t panic.

I can't find a green machine on amazon. Just some with the word green in the title

I have a 24W Jebao - it works great when it works. sometimes the bulb doesn't make contact on all 4 posts I suppose and it wont turn on... like many things, a quick whack usually fixes it. ;)

This is what was recommended for me and it worked like a charm after3 days the bloom was gone, well worth it!!

Wow, I should have included a link. But now I can’t find the one I ordered! Only spare parts. I’m sorry.

But as others have said, you can also look on Chewy.
