I have eggs in my tank! Help ID

Found these egg looking things in my glass and looks like they are on my nerite snails shell.

Nerite snail eggs.

Those are Nerite eggs...you have one of the highly intertidal species of Nerite, and one of them paid eggs while they were all piled-up. FWIW, I've never had them hatch in any of our setups.

I have those all over my tank too. They have never hatched. I wish they would....I like Nerites!

Have you guys checked your tanks at night with a flashlight? For months i saw these but never saw baby snails and figured one of my fish must be eating the poor buggers... Well lately ive been spying on my tank at night and lo and behold, thousands of tiny snails

Hmmmm....I do often peek in at night with a flashlight and haven't noticed anything but pods....will have to do some more peeking tonight

Just snapped some pics since its nighttime in my tank be on the lookout for these

and next to tiny asterina star for scale

... The eggs i have in my tank look the same as yours so i figure theyre baby nerites

Yea I'm guessing there nerites cus one of them has them all over its shell

Funny thing is my wife noticed real tiny nassarius snails. I've had 2 in there for about a month. Maybe they had babies also lol.

It's hard to tell from your pix, however, what you most likely have there are Collonista snails...they resemble small turbos (about 1/4" at best), and are nocturnal.

I may be wrong, but I seem to recall something about Nerite eggs not hatching in aquaria (possibly an intertidal thing)...I need to find the reference tho.
