Can anyone ID this ? it started randomly growing where it's at. it hasn't moved and if I touch it it gets smaller ..... doesn't retract completly but there's a definite size difference. when I touch it with a stick if feels hard an almost a part of the rock but it changes in size almost as if it's soft. I never had any coral there with those colors. it looks like a flat worm but literally been in same spot for months. and hasn't moved. besides getting bigger or smaller. what are your guys thoughts ?

that's crazy cause I don't think I ever had that coral in my tank before !

Its possible a small fragment of flesh/frag was already on this rock. What a beautiful leptoseris u have there.

I was thinking Lepto as well but Leptos and Pavonas have little ridges and hairs. Yours looks too smooth.

To be precise, the picture isnt clear enough to see the details. Hence we cant see even if there are ridges and hairs.

True, which is why I pointed it out. Don't want to give the OP false hope. People ask for IDs all the time and sometimes their pictures give us wrong information and the IDs are incorrect. Other times we jump to an answer and are wrong. We all do the best we can with the information provided.
