Got these in. They were are closed. Now I see some starting to open more and more everyday. Any ideas on the ID?

That first one looks like it may end up being one of the JDW zoas, although I don't know about a official name. It could also be Blue Steel or Lemon Drop though, so I'd really like to see a picture of it fully open. On a side note, some of the similar morphs to Lemon Drops posted look like a high light exposure Kryptonite to me - gives me something to look forward to visiting with Coralpedia about in January - LOL. Sorry, I digress . . .

The second one I've seen before, one of the various Lunar morphs that were out there, and I think it has an official name. Let me do some digging on Coralpedia

Ok . . . On the second, I would say that EZ palys are the closest to the picture you posted, but Organism, Lunar Eclipse, and X-Mans IMO are all very similar, if not the same paly. I think I visited with Coralpedia about those, and they may have evidence to the contrary, I'll have to dig back through my emails - let you know what I find tomorrow.

A lot of people call that second one an X-men, never understood the name (as in why it's called an x-men, not why it's named different) and have always lumped them in with Lunar Eclipses.

X-men are dark in the center

Hhhhmmm . . . I was just digging on coralpedia and I thought the X-Men had a whiter mouth, whereas yours was darker more like the EZs. Do your have a lighter mouth than your picture is showing?

I always chalked EZ's and Xmens as duplicates, only difference I ever noticed was the slight difference in the mouth. With photo taking and editing, that lightness can be tough to determine, so anytime I see it on coralpedia I figure them all to be the same and just more double-naming.

Would love to see more pics though!

From my earlier post . . . "I would say that EZ palys are the closest to the picture he posted, but Organism, Lunar Eclipse, and X-Mans IMO are all very similar, if not the same paly. Think you missed it because I edited it after the conversation moved on cause you guys type too fast for an old man like me LOL. Anyway, I agree with your thoughts on the similarities there.

hah, yea, sorry, totally missed your edit. after I reply I tend to scroll to end of the convo's since I have it set to max posts per page, and re-reading can get tedious. Will be staying tune for an update, I've always assumed those palys were similar enough to be morphs of each other.
