MAGNET ... I just got my shipment from SaltySupply and opened it up to find the freakin biggest aquarium MAGNET I have ever seen. When I was ordering it I thought dam $100.00 for a magnet seems pretty high, but then I thought "well every thing in this hobby seems to be high" , so I thought it was just an expensive normal magnet. Never thought the dang thing would be as big at a beer bottle - LOL.

Does anyone have a similar situation - buying something online for your tank to discover it was way bigger then you imagined?

Should make cleaning a lot easiser.

Those shark and hammerhead ones are so strong you're not supposed to put them together when they're not on a tank!

Wish you would have asked around the club. The algae free ones brs sell are slightly cheaper and u can easily replace scrubber pads when they run out. I use the hammerhead on my 180. Very strong magnets.

Yea Mike ... I had two present algae scrubbing magnets but had never purchased one (these came with the tanks) so I didn't know when ordering that large meant HUGE! Thought this was a no brainer purchase.

Yea there still good i use the magfloat small for my qt :) but love my algae free hammerhead. Dont mean to sound like.it was a bad purchase i just think those algae free are better and cheap to change pads out.

We had one like this on a tank for a Dr. and one of the nurses took the magnet out...well long story short it snapped shut on her thumb and broke it :/

LOL I so wasn't expecting a magnet scraper when I opened the thread

That thing is pretty beastly though
