I've always wondered how they decided what color to use for each Checker? I think pH is cream? Calcium should have been cream, Iron red, but Phosphate in green makes sense!

They release them out of order so if a color is taken already then they don’t use it again. I call it poor planning on their part lol! :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

do you plan on getting the magnesium checker? or even PH?
I think you should have asked: "Do you plan on getting the grey one? Or the cream? :)

Myself, I like my cream pH Checker because of the precision but I have not verified the accuracy. It seems to be ok but I don't really know. I have not kept up with the grey one's reviews on performance. Good Question, hopefully we'll get some colorful comments from the folks on here!?

Magnesium yes once the new reagent is released buying it now would be pointless because the new reagent is still in production. pH no because I have an Apex for that. I do have the salinity tester from Hanna though too as well as like three other means of testing salinity lol but the Hanna one is so easy.

I love my rainbow, just need mag once they get the issues figured out.

Sometimes the most obvious success is lost in the rainbow of celebration. How did you manage to do all these test at the same time and take a picture before the timers shut the screens off? Amazing!

Note to Hanna; Look up ROY G. BIV

First off, I line them all up. Next, I fill the Nitrate, Phosphate, and Alk culverts with 10ml of saltwater. I fill the Calcium culvert with Distilled/ Reagents. I pull out the one packet of Nitrate, phosphate, and calcium reagents and put it behind the tester. I fill the syringe with reagents for alk and get my test sample of saltwater for calcium. The testing goes pretty fast when everything is laid out and ready to go. I do Nitrate first; once I hit the timer button for 7 mins, I move on to the phosphate. I have just finished shaking it when the Nitrate one is at 3 minutes, so I start the Phosphate time for 3 mins. Then alk and calcium in either order, and they all finish about the same time.
