So I just changed lights about 5 or 6 days ago to a much stronger light which I started at 50% to acclimate for 21 days. This particular frag was doing well for the first 3 days. Then I did my normal weekly reef roids individual head feeding. I might have gotten a little more in it than normal but I've always done it pretty thick. It closed it head around it and never opened again this is 3 days later. Also the open one isnt near as open and the neck is getting skinnier

I've had this happen to me a few times when I turn my lights up. I've always gotten them to open back up by reducing the lights and putting the frag in a high flow area.

I have a couple if those starfish roaming around but not many. I'm not sure where to set my lights I know I have them too close to tank but I'd have to lose my hood to do anything else but it's possible I need to turn them down or acclimate slower I'm not sure. I actually turned the flow down between the first and second pick thinking it was hurting it but I can turn it back up.

So today I see some kind of pods on them
My pods sometimes close my zoas. I even had a bunch of pods that decided to live around a colony and had it closed most of the time. But they didn´t kill them. They were just opening and closing during the day.
I would suggest fresh water dip, which is what I do with my zoas prior to putting them in the tank for 15 min. They close over themselves and it kills any undesirable pest they have.
