Yes it’s a new tank...I’m not too worried...what could it be...the only thing wet that I added was a zoanthid frag that was on a semi fresh plug...it looks like a thin skinny gracilaria

Yea I know it’s algae lol...but it doesn’t look like any run of the mill “the uglies” algae I’ve encountered

Now a little worried...it hasn’t gotten any longer, still about an inch, but it’s starting i my rocks and sandbed. I just want to know what it is.

New info: it stays around an inch long. Never longer. It also developed slight bubbles at the ends. It has a similar structure to gracilaria but is green and never gets any longer. #reefsquad @KJ

Better pictures would help with identifying. Manually remove if your concerned, make sure you have a sufficient CUC and are following proper nutrient control and tank maintenance.

This algea don't look like Bryopsis. Hard to tel from the pic .

Thanks, they are so small that it’s very hard to get a picture. They only get 1-2 inches long.

I have some better pics. What really is weirding me out is that they have developed bulbs on the ends of some of the branches
