Four days ago I moved my very small captive bred Ocellaris from my passive QT to my DT. He seems to enjoy swimming in the moderate flow of my powerheads incessantly to the point that he doesn't seem interested in food at feeding time and is still swimming around late at night when the other fish have long retired (well at least until 11 which is my bed time). I observed him going after frozen mysis in the QT at feeding time, bt I've never seen him eat in the DT. I keep an algae sheet on a clip in the DT (I also have a Foxface), and there is natural growing algae in the tank, so he may be eating that when I'm not looking , but I'd prefer to see him eat.

Maybe I should mix it up with reef flakes sometimes? He seems happy and healthy, so I should probably just stop worrying but...

Just keep an eye on them. Not eating and swimming into powerhead could be parasites.

My clowns aren’t big eaters either, but aside from brine shrimp, they will enthusiastically eat formula two pellets.

Thanks, He actually does not go very close to any of the powerheads, just the flow.

If he is facing a wall, he could be seeing a reflection. I had a goby with this problem, and I had to line three walls of the tank with papers. Once I done that, he ate like a champ again. As far a I know, clowns are exactly big algae eaters.

I'm happy to report that my Clown has been eating heartily the last few days. I started dropping the food right in front of him in the stream he is swimming in nd he is able to get several decent size mysis. If the food is within reach he is fine, but doesn't seem to want to chase it. I don't mind giving him a little extra attention.
