thanks guys, I've NEVER seen a red monti go purple This one was a rescue coral
You should have seen the brown 1" half dead frag I got back in december last year!!

when all the polyps are out its solid BRICK RED but when bruched against the base is purple

the one in the top of the pic the ugly brown one.. is what it looked like two days after I got it.. It was actually a "RESCUE Coral"
