I know this is weird to ask

I have one Question..

WHY???

first aiptasia is very hardy and everyone hates them so no one can tell me its abuse to keep it on such a small jar, second aiptasia is not that ugly... they are still an anemone.. last i can trick anyone that isnt in the hobby into thinking its a carnivorous that grow in the ocean and is very rare xD...

the only thing that is missing is the anemone

I have had them survive in a quarantine tank without a heater and no food for months. we are talking temps in the low 70s

I would love to do something like this as a gift to my bio teacher. The only problem would be heating a jar. Gets 40-70 degrees her in the winter

When the hobby started in the early 70s we thought it was great when we got those and Majono's and we used to feed them to keep them alive. I am sure you can keep them in a small tank if you feed them

food is no problem i have alot of fish food that i dont use because well i dont have a fish i only have sea urchin which doesn’t eat the food i bought instead it eat macro algae its actually pretty cute when i watch him cuz he ate it like a spaghetti

Back in the day (dating myself here) some people intentionally kept them in their fuge as filter-feeders. They looked pretty neat (although I wouldn't want to put my hand in there...)

Quick question for anyone? How would a small jar/bowl be heated like this besides putting a heater inside that would take up 90% of the room?

my room never get cold below 70 so heater wouldn’t be a problem
