First off, this is my 5th Saltwater Tank. Hopefully my last. I started the Journey with a 50 Gallon tank, start slow they say.. after 6 months i moved into a 90 Gallon tank. Then bought a 125 Gallon Tank mixed reef for several years. Then i stumbled Apon my Dream tank.. 96x24x24 acrylic tank from a Local Hobbyist. I got the tank for 700 bucks, then started buying Toys.. Everyone loves toys! First upgrade was a Ghost overflow, rated at 1800 Gallons an hour. Two return lines, One line for uv light, other line for return pump. I use 2 Vectra M2's for returns. I have 2 MP 40's for flow, The control aspect comes from a Apex El, Which controls the Trident, Bashsea 6-24 Skimmer, Bashsea 6-24 Bioreactor and a Lifegard GL-40 ultraviolet light for the Green goblins. The Tank it self sits on a custom steel stand that just sits 24 inches off the floor. Making it easier to clean and add frags. I dose the tank with Aquaforest 1+2+3+, I do water changes twice a month at 30 percent water volume. My sump is a 100 Gallon Rubbermaid tote that resides in the closet behind my tank. There you will find a 65 Gallon Poly tank for making new saltwater. and all the equipment. It's a Labor of love dealing with this tank. The lighting comes from 4 EcoTech Marine Xr15 Pro's. I will update the livestock and corals in Chapter 2 of this Build Series.
