I love this coral but...

It does somehow catch fish from time to time. Woke up to find 50% of my royal gramma floating around covered in half digested goo when he was swimming around yesterday. First fish I've lost in the display in a long time.

The rhyzo has caught anthias before but this is the first time in probably 2+ years it's gotten a fish. I am pretty surprised but the gramma was fine as of yesterday...

I had a condy anemone eat a HUGE (5 inches) domino damsel once. I got up in the morning and the damsel’s tail was all that was visible. Of course, the condy was nearly 12” across.

How big is that coral? And what is it? I can’t tell from the picture...

It's probably 4-5" across. I've had it many years but I think this is the 3rd fish it's caught. The others were lyretail anthias. You wouldn't think a healthy fish could get caught, but here we are.

That is odd because domino damsels host anemones.

Not that one! I had him from the time he was tiny and cute up until he was huge, ugly, and mean. He never went close. Besides, this was a condy... I’ve only seen one host 3 or 4 times in my life.
