(dogs interrupted me and I cannot edit posts) and a few misc tools and near things. In the end its around $50 I'd say. I have a nice dark stain for it. All that fun stuff. Well here's the important stuff

The top will be refinished. And I'm pretty sure this is over engineered but I'm new at this stuff

Just a heads up the way you have that thing put together all the weight of the tank is on the screws. What you want is a 2x4 in between the top and bottom frames so that all the weight is being supported by the wood. Other than that it looks good.

Titus, I think you have a slight problem....and it's hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like you have your screws/nails holding the weight of the stand. When building a stand for a tank, you want direct transfer of weight to solid wood....not by being transferred to a screw of nail. Here is the "standard" design that is used for tank stands:

Heh thanks guys I appreciate the heads up on that I'll get another chunk of 2x4 and rebalance between the "rims" also the 4 corners go to the floor as well but I'll grab another piece I'd rather be safe then sorry

Trial and error :( never did anything like this before I appreciate it guys I really do.

You also don't need that center brace.....in the corners is just fine.

The center brace is because there is a cross brace there and it's supporting that. The tank that's going on here is a 66gal custom made tank. Just want to make sure it holds all the weight.

The design I gave you above built with 2 x 4’s all the way around will support any tanks up to four foot long. Over four foot, the top boards (red and yellow) need to be 2 x 6’s…..no center brace needed.
