I murdered immature Astrea Snails

[Big Mistake]

At night some odd critter would appear. Sometimes hanging out on the powerhead.

Even a little Walmart UV flashlight would send it scurrying to hide.

Must search and destroy these invaders of my coral utopia.

But as the enemy lay dying I realized almost certainly immature Astrea snails.

Their shells were not big enough for them to retreat into so they looked like nudibranchs under the UV.

But considering their behavior, speed, small shell on their back, and waving antenna ...

My fear of an alien invasion prompted me to act rashly.

My coral utopia has an evil overlord.

Hi, Really can't get it is, and don't sound like snail at all, they aren't that fast (only the one I know can be that fast is the Stomatella SP).
Can suggest you to find RED LED light, as almost all of the marine creatures don't see the RED light, And that way you can see it and to turn on the white and take a shot if you can

I have baby Astrea and they can’t move any faster than the adults, and they are out during the day. At first I thought they were Limpets, but they lacked the hole in the top of their shell.
