It was time to clean my MP40, for whatever reason it now wants to spin right off of the glass. I have taken it apart, the gasket it there, and its put back together correctly. The only thing I can think of is that the bearing was close to being gone and didnt like being played with.

Are there any vendors that are close enough to 44260 to get me one quick?

Thanks.

mine broke a couple weeks ago and ecotech replaced it free of charge. i had the new one the next day.

cool, ill call them tomorrow. I do need to get a spare for the next time this happens, it seems to be common.

So I called them today. I spoke with, I think, Steve. He asked me to send him pics of the wetside and he would diagnose what the problem is and ship out the needed parts. That was at about 10am est. I did just that and called a half hour later to confirm he got the email. I got somebody else and was transferred to his voicemail and left a message. That as around 10:45. No call back, no email back, nothing.

To me that is very dissapointing. This isnt the first one I have had go bad and its not even 4 months old. Considering I didnt get a return phone call I dont know if they even got the email. This is also not the first time ive been left hanging. My mp10 had an issue, I called, he was supposed to speak to an engineer and never got back to me. That problem I figured out myself. Now im looking at going all weekend before I see the parts I need, and thats if I ever see them.

Has anyone else had customer service problems? The product is great when it works but when it doesnt, which seems to be often, its too much of a hassle.

i only got emails from steve in the AM. he should get back to you fairly quickly...at least he did with me. i went ahead and bought a new wet-side to have as a back up as well.

I bought another wetside too, probably a good idea to have around. Although it drives me nuts to spend another $70 on this. UGH!:sure:

i have had to use their customer service twice, and both times it went very well. i'm sure he'll get back to you...

mine waited till 8 mths before it had issues. the magnet on my wet side actually split and caused it to bind up.

From my experience they have great customer service. I have issues with mine right now and he is sending another wetside. If you are having issues with the black driveshaft he said you can buy time by puting it on aluminum foil in the oven on 200 degrees for 2 hours and it should work for another week or so until you can get one sent. I didnt have that option mine broke the long screw that goes through the center.

So I called a LFS yesterday and had them send me another wetside. They are around 1.5hrs away and ups is next day so I figured that would be good enough. So I should have my wetside today right? Nope, I called them and they didnt get it shipped out until today so now its all weekend without it. Does anybody understand what customer service is?

is yours broken or bound up?

Its not bound up. My previous one bound up because the bearing was made in an environment where the humidity was too low (what ecotech said) and it absorbed water and locked up. I did the oven trick for that and it got me buy. This one will work for about 30 seconds then start spinning and fly off.

crazy.

i have had mine for about 3 years (or whenever they first came out). the only thing that went out on mine were the power supplies about 1.5 years into use. by that time the wireless controllers and new version of the wet side were out so i upgraded to the wireless controllers, and also the new magnets, shafts, props, and bearings to the new pieces and they have worked fine since then.
