temporary lighting I’m thinking 2 fuval 3.0 I’m hooked on them after seeing videos of the light settings and will be using a 16 tall tank so I will have enough light penetration. So I’m gonna be probably drilling a 40 gallon breeder I love the dimensions Aline’s with my wall good having it on a custom 3.5ft stand will put it at eye view while I’m watching tv or at my desk on my computer. I need to rehouse my overstocked 10gallon nano so it Alines with thier needs and if I get a medical waver I’m off to the army guard and I definitely need to set up a safety net for my reef inhabitants. ATO system a back up power system etc. I don’t trust my family to mix perfect saltwater so I’ll probably buy a nutri seawater use it than have them use it as a guide for a monthly water change that I’ll have on a monthly reoccurring shipment, than just direct them to ensuring the ATO is all ways full. This way I don’t come home to a dead Falco that was impossible to train or my blood red fire shrimp that begs to be fed. I plan to plumb the side of the tank just so if I need to get at a overflow for what ever reason I don’t have to climb behind the tank. I wanna know some good discreet DIY overflow boxes, what kinds of plumbing I need, how many 2by4 I need for a stand 36 1/16L, 18 1/4W and 41inch tall. Standard King of DIY Joey style stand ie frame 4 2by4 inside than other frame attached than 2by4 cut to fit as a brace to support the weight, ie what dimensions do I need once you account the 2by4? My other issue is I wanna plumb it as cheaply as possible but I don’t mind over paying it I can take it apart and reuse or even full on adjust my plumbing to new needs

Should mention I plan to put a overflow on the side and maybe do something similar with the return on the far side if I find a sleek DIY overflow box to install with more surface area than it makes me think the suction will create surface tension and the return could kinda feed it or maybe a power head by the return?

Get the auto aqua smart ato/awc I know it’s 200$ but it’s well worth it you can have it change your water automatically (on any day)

As far as everything else you seem to be in good shape

Going peninsula style?

It’s just more convent however probably hazardous gonna have to put a safety around my surge protector if I do, thinking insert it into the stand and just use wood glue and only wood glue for some water diverting planes. If I put the 10 gallon inside as a refugium with live sand and live rock odds are it be on a incline and of course I will have to add baffles than have a downpour via more pipe into the real sump/refugium, first 1 refgium would just serve as a waste export will probably just house red macro algae and live rock under 24/7 blue light while the sump and refgium area has a 12 hour light to grow cheato. Think between the two I will not see a phosphate issue if ever.
