What’s growing at the foot of my Duncan ?

It looks harmless but looks can be deceiving. I’m a new reefer so I can’t ID basic stuff yet.

Ok. Do I take the rock out and glue the Aiptasia ? Do I remove it first ?

How did that thing get in my tank ? I was away for 5 weeks and had someone come twice a week to feed all prepared portions and a little bit of plankton. I saw this upon my return.

The darn things come out of nowhere the gametes can survive desiccation so they could theoretically come from salt mix. More likely a small nem was attached to LR or a frag base and grew up to visible size. Its best to superglue or kalk it underwater as stress causes them to release gametes (eggs).
