IKEA bathroom cabinets £40 each.
This is by far my favorite thus far. Great solution and affordable.

Located in a closet behind the tank, used plywood mounted to the wall and a finger duct cable management system. Cables were routed to the closet through a passthrough accessible from inside the stand. A flexible option if space and layout permit.

I like this.

I have a thread here where I show-off my phalic control board before I added anything to it.

it slides out on runners

Never understood the point of these controller boards. You still have the rats nest of wires, it's just hidden. What exactly are these trying to accomplish? Just make it look nice?

I made a new stand for my tank, just made it a little extra long to have an equipment cabinet. I just stuff it all in there, and it's out of sight.

That looks very neat and nice! Like it’s combed out!

I also don’t understand the hyper focus on hiding the rats nest. Just close the door. Can I say my entire sump is my controller board? :)

There was something I saw on BRS TV that indicated the power block needed to go at the top. I would put the source here, but honestly, I have watched so much lately I dont remember where I saw it.

Also, I made cardboard cut outs to lay everything out. It made it easy to move around and stuff like that. looks like you may have that covered to an extent.
Interesting because most other boards even the ones they sell have them on the bottom lol. Now I want to see if I can find it because I truly don’t think it matters.

We use to use Panduit in the network cabling business and made some awesome rack systems with it. I also used it for my build, super awesome, I can pull the return pumps with out cutting any tywraps for maintenance and all of the cables lay in the tray nicely, I only which I had purchased wider channel

Pics?

So basically your trying to make it look neat?

A couple cable raceways would accomplish the same thing.

Of course if you only want to see the shiny boxes, and not all the wires or raceways, then the controller board is probably the way to go.

IMO even with the board you still have the rats nest of wires, and once hooked up, you really never need to access anything on the apex unless you need to unplug something. IMO it just makes it harder to trace a wire if you need to unplug one.

To each their own, but IMO these accomplish nothing in my mind, other then pretty things up. I'm more a practical guy, and go for convenience over look.
To some it's a rats nest, to others a thing of beauty - an artwork of sorts :-)

Here's mine! I made it from those finished garage storage shelves you can get at Home Depot. Added a hinge to the bottom to be able to swing it open and then a couple of hook and eye latches for a little extra support on that middle panel. It mostly rests on the bottom one.
Maybe it will help with inspiration? Lol
