Ok so heres the deal...i got a 20 gal tank complete setup with light, hood, h.o.b. pump/filter, and heater for free...i want to make a new home for my clown pair and my inferno bubbletip and a few small corals that i have...the only fish will be my clowns, i will also have a few snails, a couple small hermits, and a sand sifting star. So my question is, can i use the h.o.b. filter its a marineland bio-wheel filter that is actually for a 50 gal setup, also in yalls opinion what type of lighting should i use? The reason i want to do so is because i want my clowns to have a safe place when the time comes for them to breed as well as a better chance of the fry surviving...and my 65 gal is going to become a predator tank

You should be fine with that filter but will need to keep a good water change routine. As far as lighting, I would either get one of the Reef Breeders LED fixtures or good 4 bulb T-5.
