Hi,

I have a fluval 13.5 tank but the sand bed is a bit dirty. I have the Hawaiian black sand substrate and I think it is a bit too big for a goby to sift through. Has anyone had a Goby with Hawaiian black sand?

Gobys like to leave a mess with sand. Have you Looked into conches and snails that sift sand.

I have 5 Astreas and 2 Nassarius snails. The Nassarius' just hide and do nothing lol. I often stir up the sand bed with a rod but the diatoms just come back. I don't have much of an algae problem but the sand bed is so dirty. I heard Gobies clean the sand bed very well but my sand isn't fine, its course.
