My tank has ich which is under control and my clownfish have brook which are being removed today and put into a separate QT.
I want to get rid of all these parasites, I'm prepared to go fallow

All I have access on hand is metroplex and paragard!

If I treat these clownfish successfully, what do I do with my other livestock? They are showing no symptoms of illness. I dont mind setting a QT for them buy the information is so scattered I dont know if I can make this work!

My livestock is as follows

Blue hippo tang
foxface
combtooth blenny
adorned wrasse
sailfin tang
scooter blenny
2x clownfish

Metroplex will treat brooklynella, but you’ll need copper to get rid of the ich. If you didn’t have a hippo tang, I’d say to use CP because it will get rid of both :/

The metro should take care of Brook, but you will need to get copper in order to take care if the ich.

I prefer copper power (chelated copper) used with the Hanna checker to monitor.

If you can get ruby reef rally (acriflavine) give the clowns a 90 minute bath and then transfer them to a QT dosed with metroplex.

Acriflavine

If you have a QT big enough for all of them, move the rest of your fish as well. I think if you could get ahold of a 40 breeder that would be the smallest tank I would use to QT those tangs. Ich has a pretty long lifecycle, so they need to be there for a good amount of time...

Once you get everyone moved over, you can start ramping up the copper SLOWLY. You can use copper and metroplex together as long as you are careful to keep plenty of water movement and O2 exchange. A power head aimed at the surface and an air stone work nicely together. Make sure you have an ammonia badge and plenty of water as you might need to do frequent water changes for ammonia control (you can’t use prime for ammonia control with copper, it makes the copper 10x more toxic and will kill all of your fish)

Make sure to test copper frequently, and dose any water change water to match the copper level in the QT, because even a temporary drop can reset the QT clock.

You can do it... and we are here to help any way we can!

Can I use copper with metro at the same time?

Yes, these two are fine as long as you make sure there is plenty of O2 exchange because using multiple medications tends to deplete the oxygen in the water.

I'll be using a hob, a wavemaker and an air pump with a stone for sure. I just want to avoid any damage to my livestock because right now those listed other than the clowns are perfectly healthy

That should be plenty. I understand your caution, unfortunately if you only treat the clowns... even if the others never show symptoms... you could put the clowns back and end up right back where you started :/ Clowns are very susceptible to brook, kind of like tangs and ich.

I'm going to be housing the clown in a nano tank. I came home to find the smaller male had died while I was at work, and the female was alive. Ironically their conditions were reversed yesterday. The female looks better than yesterday and is breathing normal again, I'll be putting her in quarantine tonight
