I need help. Dino treatment NOT working.

I’m winning the dino battle!!

It was a mixture of these things:

Elevated nutrients
Microbacter 7
Filter socks and skimmer running (get small micron socks).
the most important thing: keep lights around 5 hours a day at minimum intensity.

Here’s the theory: elevated nutrients allows competitors to grow.
Microbacter 7 can help establish bacteria and outcompete dinos.
Filter socks remove Dino’s (I microscoped the black gunk in the filter sock). Lower lights allows the Dino’s to release from the substrate to get filtered out.

I have coolia Dino’s which in my experience don’t really like leaving the substrate, but can if coaxed out.

I did dose silicates for a week with poor results. I dosed h202 today (but I noticed the Dino’s improving before the h202 dose).

In the future, I believe combining vetteguy’s approach with elevated nutrients is the way.
