Here is a before picture and a current picture. The second picture is the the current picture. What is the black secretion looking stuff?!?

Did you dip it before adding it to your tank? Try some coral RX and see if any nasties fall off of it.

I did not dip it because i dont have anything to dip it in. Also i dont know what to dip it in. What can I use if I dont have coral RX?

Well, do you have any Bayer bug killer? hmm. who do i know that can help with how to use Bayer? @twilliard maybe? probably anybody in the [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG]

I dont have any of that. I barley had enough money to pick up a couple of frags last week at the frag swap. What about a water/ peroxide dip?

Not sure about that for pest removal. The guys i tagged will be better able to help with a dyi dip I'm sure. I know the peroxide will kill any algae on the frag though!

actually, do you have anybody near you who you could borrow some dip from? Like a local club or facebook group that you could ask?

I dont know anybody around where I live. Im still new to the area I moved to

Just run up to a home depot and pick up a think of Bayer and use that as the dip. It works great

Will the freshwater dip melt/kill any of the polyps?

Not thinking its a pest.
Fresh water dip will say a lot
Looks to be zooxanthellae expulsion.
How was it acclimated and what was the water chemistry and lighting it came from?

So do a freshwater dip and that will tell us where to go from there?
