i was wanting to get a clean up crew of crabs and a few parasite eating shrimp. But my most concern is the fish and if i can house these fish in the same tank.

I was thinking about getting a blue hippo tang, 2 black saddle back clownfish sailfin tang, yellow tang and a Naso tang. i have a 125g tank with a 40g sump refuge.

please help me out on if i can do that and have no problems. Suggestions on fish are always welcome to add variety to my tank :).

Thanks! -Taylor

IMO that's a few to many LARGE tangs. Sailfin get up words 12-18" and need a ton of swimming room. Not a lot of experience with naso but if remember correctly they get rather large as well. Personally I would look into some of the smaller tangs. When I say smaller I mean at full adult size, lots of beautiful tangs that stay under 12".

Hey Taylor, i'm a tang guy so I'll chime in. I also have a 125g tank. I looked a sailfin tangs, but thier max size is 16 inches, and your tank is 18 inches wide..... not alot of turning around room. which is why i laid off. Naso tangs get 18" but they are more avid swimmers so I would say no way right off. The yellow tang will be perfect. I have three tangs in my 125 and I feel they get a little cramped personally.

I tried a PBT as soon as I upgraded. while in a 100g stock tank it killed two other tangs the first night, then went after my YT damsel. Never again. Right now I have a Lavender Tang, Tomani, and Black tang. The only even slightest trouble I get is from the Lavender. He doesn't like the tomani who is very relaxed and HATES it when my melarunus wrasse buries itself. Nothing so bad as nipping or swiping, but there you have it.
