Hello, all and Happy New Year!

We recently went to the Carribean and our kids started to play in the sea to catch some baby fish.

They caught 2 different ones and they really want those fish to go to our DT.
Right now, they are in QT and I want to find out what type of fish they are, to make sure they are friendly with the other ones I have in DT and also with my corals.

I am attaching some pictures below.
The one that has the better close-up picture seems like a scooter fish, so I assume it will be safe in my DT, but I really have no idea what the striped one is.

Also, do you think it would be safe for these fish to go through QT for the size they are (really small baby fish, maybe about 1 cm for size). I usually treat with Prazi and copper in QT before adding fish to DT.

Thank you!

The elongated one is a goby of sorts - most likely reef safe but I couldn’t give a specific ID.
The round one looks like a juvenile of whatever it is - some type of damsel perhaps. Sergeant majors are common in the area (and are aggressive).

Yeah, the one is a goby of some kind (lots of gobies with that sort of shape and coloration, so I'm not sure which species). As mentioned, it's probably reef safe.

The striped one seems to be a Night Sergeant, Abudefduf taurus - they get to about 8" on average in the wild, and they are reported to eat zoas as adults. Given that they are sergeant major damselfish, I would assume they get extremely aggressive and territorial
