I need help with my new Sail Fin Tang -

Hey R2R gang!
I am new to the SW hobby, and I need some advise/help. My new Sail Fin Tang seems...off today. He is really little, about the size of a quarter, have had him about a week and usually he is all over the place, nibbling at the rock and pallin around with his buddy the Clown - but today he has just been hiding all day. Checked the water and everything looks great, the Clown, the polyps, the coral everything looks great, the Fire Shrimp molted last night. But poor Quarter just seems off. He looks fine, no spots or stripes or anything like that. I read somewhere to try seaweed soaked in garlic, so I tried that about 20 minutes ago...but he is just not even tempted to nibble. HELP!!!!

Best thing I did for my tangs is get a veggie clip. This one i have is awesome!

and i use this algea. My tangs go nuts for it. I really think that is what keep mine so healthy.

Thanks J Rog! I got the veggie clip, and seaweed from Two Little Fishies - as of yet, he hasn't been interested in it. He has been nibbling on the algae on the rock - but doesn't even seem to notice the clip. Should I switch the seaweed for algae? He is so little, I'm kinda worried he is not eating enough. I feed the Rods Fishfood (pretty sure that's what it's called) for the rest of the tank and they go nuts for it, but not the little guy.

sometimes live brine helps. its like candy for them. not good for a regular diet, but once a month or so doesnt hurt.

Awe man, the LFS guy said frozed brine. Dang it. Now I gotta find live ones. Sea monkies here I come.

How long have you had the tang? Before placing him in your display tank did you quarantine him first? You could also try offering him frozen blood worms to see if you can get his interest.
