I need help with my pumps. Please

Does anybody think that a single 800GPH wave maker pump is too much for my 55 gallon reef? I have a feeling it is.

Depends on what you are trying to keep in your tank! Fish only or LPS then you are probably ok but sps is where you are probably going to want more and at random angles to get all the water moving!

you can just point to the top of the water and should be fine............make some movement on top of water..thats just me tho

Nope not overboard, should be quite fine using that.
