It's weird my elegance coral has almost detached has any one ever had this happen. Is it going to die

:( You should try to see if there are any hardy strains in your area. I know in our area there is one that's been going and fragged many times over a decade. The elegance corals that are wild tend to have some sort of elegance disease that tends to kill them from what I've read at least.
 
I've read lugols helps but not sure if elegance corals can take that stuff well.
 
Thanks for all the advice but it's not looking to good. Might have to put it in a holding tank until it dies. I can't take a living organism out and just chuck it away.
 
Just like in a natural reef I will put the shell back in as part of the aqua scape after treating it of course
