I am new to this hobby and I am gonna add some coral. I went to my LFS and they had these blue lights and I knew I had to get them bc the corals looked so cool in them. The ones they were using were like 2000+ dollars. That a bit ridiculous for my 20 gallon. My price range is about 60-70 and if its from amazon its better, bc I have credit there.

To grow coral unfortunately you most likely can't run just blue lights. I'm assuming you mean it is a 20 gallon long.

Now I understand the desire for the blue coral pop. It looks amazing. It can be done on a budget, but you need to be discerning. If you throw $70 at some random "reef light" on Amazon you may as well have wasted the money.

Something like this light will do just fine to start with. Plenty of power with dimmers on both the white and blue channels

If you want to be selective you could hold out for a used AI Prime 16 HD. Could probably find one in the $150 range. It won't have the range to cover your whole tank, but it will certainly give you a good area of your tank where you can grow any coral you like. Down the road you could pick up a second one.
