I’m fairly new to reef tanks but I have decent exposure.

I ordered the RO Buddie and i struggled with it (and eventually broke it) so new one coming from Amazon.

My biggest issue was with the blue tube that goes into the membrane housing. You need to remove it to twist off the cap of the membrane housing but it would NOT come out. It eventually snapped while I was pulling.

Did anyone else have this issue and how did you handle it?

There are locking tabs that lockb the tubes in. You need to pull out those tabs first. Then the tubes should just pull right out.

I did remove the blue clips if that’s what you mean

There is a special tool you can buy to make removing them much easier but for me either a crescent wrench sized to slightly wider than the RODI tubing or a pair of thick scissors placed around the fitting and pressing towards the fitting itself while pulling on the RODI tubing works really well.

Awesome I’ll try that. Thank you!
