Come on in -- please answer what you can. Educated guesses are also welcome.

What Is This Christmas GIF by Death Wish Coffee

These white circles have suddenly popped up over several of my rocks (not next to each other) and a few frag plugs. They are ever-so-slightly raised, but not necessarily squishy.

Additionally, who knows what this white powdery stuff is above my BTA?

Wait, there's more! I assume these are someone's eggs -- but whose?

Next up -- a video. What the actual duck are these? They are gross and all over this rock. (Link if the video won't play: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZM8yq6M9Y/)

Lastly, what is this suggestive hitchhiker? Keep it clean...

Do I need to burn it all to the ground?

I'm far from an expert but my rocks went through a phase where a white powdery substance developed on them in patches here and there. Not sure if it was some type of algae bleaching and dying off.

Could the other picture be a trail of snail eggs? I had something similar recently but not quite as raised as yours look.

I'll try..

> 4 detritus/poop? Snail poop?
> 5 Cirth snail eggs
> The video won't play. They usually do eventually.
> The last couple look like a bi-valve embedded in the rock
Agree with all that

Nerite snail eggs yes and often referred to as dusters are tube worms which use their fans to capture food. You can break their tubes at base and discard OR simplydirect water flow towards them - Not at them and they will be unable to capture food and starve
The eggs will likely not survive as if not eaten require cooler temps for better hatch rates but once in a while, a new nerite appears

The white powdery stuff is so weird. It's only right there, too -- nowhere else in the tank. And I was thinking that they're likely snail eggs.

Do you have nerite snails? Those first pictures look like maybe nerite eggs.
I forgot that I'd added any nerite snails -- I don't think I've seen them since.

1-3 -- Is each circle an egg, or are there many per circle? Because there is a metric fk-ton of them.
4 -- It isn't anywhere else in the tank. I can't imagine the snails decided collectively to duke only above my nem. LOL
5 -- Sweet :)
I added a link for the video!
The last couple -- I, um, didn't touch it, but it looked like it would have some squish to it. ;Facepalm

snail eggs, tube worms"feather dusters" in video.and a bivalve... :)
How confident are you on the tubeworm/feather duster ID?

Agreed with this!!

Mine started off as a patch of white powdery stuff on one rock then spread to several other rocks. 2 months later it was pretty much gone. I figured it was just a tank cycling phase or something.

Are you sure yours want some sort of encrusting sponge? I have a big encrusting sponge on one of my live rock pieces, and it’s really starting to annoy me. Harmless, but ugly.
