So I recently purchased some corals from a fellow member here on R2R. Before the coral ships out, I ask the guy to take pictures of the corals and he says, "sure no problem." On the day the corals are shipped out, the guy tells me he forgot to take pictures because he had to ship out a lot of corals.

I received the corals today during my lunch break. There were 3 pieces total, 2 I purchased and 1 freebie that was thrown in. I float the corals for 15 minutes to temperature acclimate then put them in the tank because the shipping water was getting murky brown. The corals slimed up pretty good so I left them in the tank and returned to work.

After I get off work, 2 of the corals look fantastic while the 3rd was starting to peal. What should I do in this situation. I let the seller know but his policy was that I send DOA pics within 2 hours of receiving corals; but then again, I asked for pictures of corals before shipment and did not get them.

K two thoughts.

The seller Not taking pics voids his claims. Period.

However if you do not have pictures of opening the box and floating them and opening them. It voids your claims too.
If you have pictures time does not matter.

I think pay pal and eBay would side with the seller but only for the price and shipping if the Purchased coral.

A coral should still look healthy in the bag when it arrives.

But I would also Say to be cool cuz we're all reefers.
He probably doesn't know why the corals are dead either.
